Our primary focus has been — and will remain — local news. After all, Seven Mile Satellite started because of the lack of news coverage for the island. With that being said, we will be expanding our coverage. This includes global and national news coverage, opinion articles and more columns.
Additionally, beginning a week from today we will be releasing a weekly Monday briefing on global news headed by our global news desk editor Jake Conley. This will give readers an update on the pandemic and the biggest stories of the week in one place.
The decision to add these components to our coverage comes from a look at where the world is in 2020. Local coverage is essential right now, as is global knowledge.
